This was the sunday of the Worthing Borough Centenary marathon, June 1990, this is why the band is marching on the seafront instead of the road. Silent Cine Film featuring Worthing Band conducted by the late Leslie Tickner at Alexander Palace playing in The Italian Gardens 25th June 1977 Family Field Day . Timbrels at the end are from Morriston I think, having their photo taken by Robin Bryant. Think the Band in Red Tunica are Wood Green. I have slowed down the part with Worthing Band due to the fast panning.

Thankfully, even in 2023, my town has an active and vibrant Corps of the Salvation Army. I adhere to the Anglican (Church of Ireland) denomination, and we share excellent relationships with our local Citadel ❤❤❤❤

My Great Uncles wrapped the Flag was wrapped round there bodies to stop it being torn to shreds,l was a Soldier of the Army from 1939 to 1960,l now live in Witney in Oxfordshire, i still love the dear love the Salvation Army and I am now 83 years old,God Bless the Army where ever you are in the world

On quite a length of time I was in the SP&S tent so missed quite a few of the activities but enjoyed the visits by Salvationists from all over the world. It was a wonderful experience.
Lord Jesus revive the Salvation Army. Raise up good leaders. Singing and music is heartfelt. What is the Salvation Army’s policy on abortion ? Save the babies, help the ladies and stop the crazies.
The salvos don't judge others. We don't have a stance on abortion..it's never discussed publicly.. I'm always a salvo!
Joanne Marshall , you or the Salvation Army are not neutral. The killing of unborn babies is not just another issue. We are for life ,or for death. Jesus said ‘ You shall not kill.’ Non judgementalism is destroying the church, and the unborn baby. Why was John the Baptist beheaded ? Because he told the king “ It is wrong for you to take your brother’s wife”. Herodius asked for , and received the head of John the Baptist on a silver dish. Had he not spoken up against adultery he would not have been put to death. Judgementalism ?

Jesus said in Matthew10 v 27 ‘What I say to you in the dark, tell in the daylight;what you hear in whispers, proclaim from the housetops’. Young people , and not so young, search for truth. They thirst for God’s way. The media and entertainment world scream pleasure, and selfishness and a narcissistic view of life. We must get up early to speak God’s way. The Commandments of God are liberating.
